These painting originated from time I spent in the Musee l'Orangerie. And the beautiful tiny museum in Paris that holds Monet's water lilies. I had no idea at the time that my impressions there would transform my work as is has. Monet's water lilies are perfect, they sing, they dance they are poetry in motion. They are beyond words. My interpretations are not original but they authentically mine. My twist and turns are there. And no I would never compare them to Monet's but to me the light, the colors and the tonal movement dance. And I love painting everyone of them. Once again as in all my work they are all about the color.
These are the Impressionist-Abstracts that I don't have a cubby hole for yet. A little secret.... I see a series of rowboat painting on the horizon.
