Saturday we will be Saco Maine. Last year it was one of our favorite shows. It's a lovely downtown the people were very friendly and the day was perfect. Sam like the diner( Rapid Ray's) that served lobster rolls at 8.00 a piece. WE can't tell you how many she ate that day.
Last year they only saw my landscape watercolors. this year i'll have my new abstracts their. I winder how they will like them. here's a new encaustic. I've gone purple to match the heat index in my studio. Three fans and doesn't help.
It was finally the last day of school in North Middlesex Regional, Sam had her last final today. Tomorrow will be my first sleep in Friday. Today was to be one of the last days I drove her to school, in the fall she was suppose to have a car and and parking spot at school. We are getting a new high school, construction will take up most of the students parking. She did not get one the coveted parking permits.
Honestly i'm a little happy about that. It means one more year of driving her to school. Yes the yellow school bus could. But as most parents out there know the older they get the more conversations happen in the car. I tell people oh she doesn't tell me anything. But the truths out she tells me a lot, not everything i'm sure but a lot. i enjoy those conversations in the car. all those little nothings actual do mean something. I stole that line from You've Got Mail. I've got two more years with her home. I plan on enjoying all those little moments I get in the car.
Below are some new painting. we'll be in Wakefeild this Saturday. Festival on the Lake, hope to see you there.
Found this article. tonight. son took part in one of these studies at MIT by John Gabrieli:

I've been holding my breath... Last year we had such a good year of doing shows. This year things started so painfully slow. Two weeks ago at the Beacon Hill Art Walk and today in Beverly things have finally turned a corner. Fingers crossed. The rain held off it was a good day and we meet lots and lots of cute dogs.. I'll try to post them later. See you in Wakefeild next Saturday.
Honestly in the world of simple pleasures their can't be many things more delightful than clean sheet night. Freshly clean pure cotton sheets that have been left to dry crisp and wrinkle fee on the clothesline the old fashioned ones that smell like fresh air. These sheets remind me of my mom and growing up in Maryland and how they felt down from the clothesline in the back yard. they are clean and crisp a little rough... and irresistible to crawl into. And that is a great and simple please. you know what I'm talking about ladies.
I have raised procrastination to an art form, I could teach a masters course on it at any university. Unfortunately I have to set my gift a side in a few minutes - make that an hour or so, Gonzo needs a long long walk this morning, its for him not for me...
The house has been hit by a hurricane I wish I could blame it all on Peter, Hurricane Peter, but I think we all had a hand in it. son came home finally Friday, unloaded his car Saturday from all his stuff from his apartment and packed and left for Microsoft yesterday. Meanwhile Sam had a band fundraiser Saturday morning along with Prom that night, I had a the Beacon Hill Art Walk yesterday (great day!).
The house is up disaster relief I'm expecting Obama to fly over today to look at the debris.
If you want a clean flat surface (say a table top) you have to go to the front porch the back deck has Peters bedding all over it. The island and tables are stacked. Art,supplies, Paintings frames glass, Peters clothes, hiking equipment, rock climbing things, ropes, ice climbing boots , gloves, You get the picture. Yet here I sit. And sit trying not to think of those 6 hikers that died up on my mountain,, the one Peter will be hiking this summer. Trying not to think of that.
ok I'm going in, If you don't hear from me for awhile send for back up.
Gonz is so happy I'm a procrastinator!
**** Beacon Hill Post Note****To the Chicago family who bought the night sky painting for Michigan, my thoughts have meandered back to you.
